HERE I AM!! Its the last day of February tomorrow and on March 1 we leave for our annual Aspen Ski trip! yeahhh!! I CAN NOT WAIT!! Aspen is one of my favorite places on earth and skiing has now become one of my favorite hobbies so I’m REALLY looking forward to this trip. February was wonderful. I have been the traveling queen going back and forth to Florida a bunch of times and now I’ll be traveling again to Colorado HOWEVER, I do have some more news…. I have FINALLY decided to compete again! After successfully finding my balance with diet and holding a healthy weight (not yo-yo-ing) I finally feel REALLY strong and ready to go back to something I have wanted to give another shot. I’m finally ready to kick it up and take my fitness back to another level. I’m mentally and physically strong enough and I have learned many lessons since my previous competition. I just have the itch to give it another go and this time will be great! I have a new nutrition plan that I have total confidence in and a wonderful support of my family and boyfriend behind me. I want to compete the first week in June which gives me 14 weeks. I think the thing that made me want to make some serious changes was the fact that I had an evaluation with my new nutritionist and when I saw the numbers I wanted to DIE! Put it this way… I have 43 lbs of FAT to lose (YES FOLKS, 43 FREAKIN POUNDS OF FAT) and 20 lbs of muscle to put on!! So stage weight will be somewhere around 120 lbs. HOLY MOLY!!! So… here is where the fun part begins… lots of cardio and yes, I WILL be taking pictures along the way. I saved my suits for a reason… I AM GOING TO STEP BACK ON THAT STAGE AGAIN!! There were so many things that I did the last show that I want and NEED to do right this show… for one, my posing. I will work on my posing A LOT more. Also, this time I will scrub my face and body A LOT better before putting on the stage tan. I looked like a muddy mess last time. I will also be MUCH more conditioned this time and get my legs much leaner.
Anyway, I started my diet TODAY and already did my double session of cardio. I’m really excited for this next 14 week journey. I’m also REALLY excited to wear my new ski boots next week!! Awwww yeah!!! How do you like my new boot bag and boots. Pretty stylin right? Wait until you see pictures of me in my new ski outfit! Its pretty freakin awesome!! haha!!

Saturday, February 9th, 2008 I just got home from work so I figured before I head out again to get in an evening workout, I would check in. I have been in a serious groove lately and I’m feel so good. Last night I had a KILLER workout at the gym. As you know I am completely in love with a class at my gym called, Power. I took Power last night and then did some cardio and abs. Power is awesome because you do a TON of squats, lunges, dead lifts, clean and presses, shoulder presses, bent over rows, tricep dips and presses, chest presses and flies, bicep curls and abs. Its an incredible total body workout and sometimes its nice having a break from the normal weight room that I’ve spent countless hours in. Its so crazy how the scale has pretty much stayed the same but my body is just changing more everyday. Sometimes it can be frustrating because you want to see that number change but as long as I can see and feel the changes in the mirror and my clothes, then its ok. Plus, I just feel so good working out everyday and eating healthy. I just feel like I’m on the right track- a really healthy track- and its a damn good feeling! Today I waited too long to eat lunch at work and ended up eating WAY too much chicken, veggies and brown rice. I ate lunch at 4pm and its 7pm and I’m still FULL!! Not good, I know. Shame on me for waiting so long to eat but sometimes work is so busy that I forget.
I have some more pictures to share. These are some shots of me getting a little workout in on vacation. I didn’t bring workout clothes so I had to make due with some over sized board shorts. I didn’t do any cardio while I was away but we went into the spa where they had a gym and I did a little total body workout just to get the blood pumping while it rained a little on the island.
Ok, don’t laugh at the shorts… I stole them from my brother… infact, one false move and they might have fallen off!





All of these exercises I’m doing here are things we don’t do in Power class. When I’m training in the weight room now, I pick machines and exercises thats we don’t or can’t do in class so that my workouts are more balanced and I’m not missing anything.

A great weekend for a white wedding…
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008HEY EVERYONE! I’m back from Turks and Caicos now with lots of pictures and a killer tan! What a wonderful weekend! All the hard work I put into getting ready for the weekend paid off and I felt great and wore my bikini!! haha! The island was amazing and the hotel where we stayed, The Regent Palms was incredible. The weather was perfect, the beach and sand were like off a post card and it was so relaxing. We had a total blast! The wedding weekend was a lot of fun but nothing topped the group of warm and fun people we were with. I don’t have much time to write now since I’m off to work now but I did want to come on and post some pictures. I only have time to post a few now so I’ll come back on later and post more and write a bit more about the weekend… but for now… ENJOY!
