Its almost the end of another year. Wow, how the time just flies! I have a wonderful feeling about 2008. 8 is my lucky number and I just know that 2008 is going to be a really incredible year for me. So far my trip to Florida has been amazing. Well… up until last night when my boyfriend got VERY sick. We were supposed to go out to dinner and dancing but right before we were ready to leave he got the chills and has been up in bed ever since. My poor baby. I’ve been taking care of him but if he isn’t better by tomorrow morning then I’m taking him to the doctor.
The weather in Florida has been amazing! We brought one of my dogs and he has been loving it down here. He gets to go on walks everyday and be away from the cold of New Jersey for a while. I actually extended my stay a few days so we’re all happy about that. I can deal with a few more days in the sun.
Life for me now has been wonderful. Things are really falling into place and I’m feeling so good. I love being down here now spending lots of great time with my mom and my boyfriend. We have been having a blast and I’m just on cloud nine all the time.
Christmas day we went golfing and I loved it. I hadn’t played in a while and the 3 of us had so much fun. I call myself a Power Golfer. My drive is pretty darn good but my short game needs some work. Hopefully we’ll get to play again while I’m here.
Well, I should get back to nurse duty. I think my patient needs me…

Its been a while since I’ve written. Lately I have been so bad about writing because I’ve been so busy, which is a good thing, but then my mind gets in a state of overload when I try to think about all the things I want to write about. I do have to say this.. moving back to NJ was the best thing I ever could have done. Living 3,000 miles away from my family was one of the most ridiculous things I can think that I’ve done. Since I have moved home I have finally been able to spend so much time with people I love and its been wonderful. I am with my mother constantly and the time we share is so precious and always cherished by me. She is my best friends in the whole world and we do everything together. To think that I lived away from my mother for even the time I did makes me sad. I never want to miss all that time again with her.
I’m not preparing for my two weeks in Florida for the holiday’s and I can’t wait. I’m bringing my one trouble child, Turbo, with me and Swayze is staying here in NJ with a family who has 4 children who are dying to love him all up! I’m sure Swayze will have a wonderful time! Before he goes, I’ll give him a bath today so he smells good
Yesterday I went to a Holistic doctor. Well, I will say that it was pretty interesting. I did acupuncture for the first time. It was actually part of some kind of special thing I did for food allergies. Because of the thing I did (I cant remember the name at the moment) I couldn’t eat anything with Grains, yeast or sugar for the past 25 hours. Ugh! I had no idea how many things have sugar in them. So I had a bag of steamed veggies and chicken for breakfast and sugar free jello for dinner. I also am getting a full body check out. I got tons of blood taken, urine taken, saliva, you name it… I’m so eager to find out the results. I’m getting my hormones checked too. I just want to make sure that I’m in great health and if I’m not then I want to fix it! I bought Flax meal and some green stuff I’m supposed to drink everyday and it reminds me of fish food. The doctor told me to hold my nose to drink it but I hate eating and drinking gross stuff everyday and hoping its working!
Well, I’m off to pack for my trip. Since Turbo is my carry-on I will have two big bags to send this time. ewww, I hate packing!

Its 7:30pm Tuesday after work and I’m about to head to my mom’s for the last night of hanukkah present exchange and then hit some cardio in her basement. I was supposed to go to the gym but since work was out later then expected due to a meeting, the basement will be just fine for tonight.
Ok, so here is some serious motivation for me… I have a wedding the first weekend in Feb in Turks and Caicos ON THE BEACH. Its an all white wedding and there is an entire day of water sports which means one thing…. BIKINI. Oh boy… here we go! This is serious now! I have around 8 weeks or so to get my body looking hot in very little clothes… and all WHITE no less! Ahhhhhhh!!!
Its a good little challenge and I’m ready to step up to it! Oops.. I have to run to mom’s house now so I’ll fill you in on more later!

Today is a going to be a great day because my mom finally returns from South Africa. She’s been there for 2 very long weeks and I can’t stand her being away any longer! I’m going to head to her house in a bit to greet her with lots of hugs and kisses.
So…. this weekend it did snow! I woke up on Sunday morning and it was so beautiful outside. Everything was covered in white and I just loved it. I love the way snow makes everything look so beautiful and fresh and clean. It made me want to pop out of bed and changed.. for POWER CLASS! After driving about 4 miles an hour the entire way there because the roads were so slippery, I met 3 of my friends for the packed class. Wow! Power is really catching on. They teach the Power class kinda like how I used to like to teach my Spinning classes when I taught back in college. I would spin to the beat of the songs. I would choose songs to go with what we were doing. So if we did a set of sprints, I would pick a song that is slow and then all of the sudden speeds up super fast. When we lift in Power, we lift to different counts. We do negatives and super slow and then normal reps. Its pretty cool and its just my style in so many ways. If they had this class when I was in college, I would have wanted to teach it too. After class I stayed for 30 min of cardio and by then I was starving.
I did pretty well with cleaning up my diet this week. I wasn’t perfect but then again, thats not what this is about. I have just made some changes and I’m eating some cleaner choices now. I have been making my egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast however, on Sunday I made something new! Its a SUPER clean Bagel French Toast. I buy the Weight Watchers Bagels. They are low cal and low fat and high in fiber and so good. So I used 2 egg whites, a splash of skim milk and some cinnamon and soaked the bagels in the mixture. Then I put them in a pan and made them like french toast. I put some sugar free syrup on them and… YUMMM!! Sooooo good! You can even spread a little natural peanut butter for a little fat. My skin gets dry in the cold and I need to remember to eat some fats.
Tonight is the first night of HANUKKAH so for everyone celebrating like me… HAPPY HANUKKAH!
By the way… its snowing again today!! Here’s a picture of Swayze in his first snow ever! He doesn’t know what to do!

Ahhhh, the weather report is calling for snow for tonight and tomorrow!! I’m SOOOO EXCITED!! I love snow!! Its so pretty and I haven’t been in Jersey for snow in years! My doggies aren’t going to know what to do!!
Anyway, its Saturday and I have been sitting at home all day now waiting for the guy to come put in my new glass shower door. I haven’t had a door on my shower in months and now that its cold, a door would be nice. Plus, I put in a steam shower and I can’t exactly steam without a door!
So I did my cardio, cleaned my house, did some laundry and I’m still waiting. I want to head to the mall with a couple friends soon too so this is really holding me up. I have to start some holiday shopping so I’m not freaking out at the last minute.
I took POWER class again last night and I just love it! I went a bit heavier on a lot of the stuff so I’m sore today. I’m planning on taking it again tomorrow morning with my friends. Unless… we are SNOWED IN!! ahhhh!! (but I doubt it)
ok… I’m really getting impatient now because I want to get out of here and SHOP!!
